Capstone offers four tiers of authorisation. The level of authorisation that’s right for you will largely depend on the level of support services you
need. Generally speaking, tiers 1 and 2 are suitable for accountants while tiers 3 and 4 are more suitable for financial advisers. You can move between tiers as your business and advice needs change.

Suitable for:

Accountants who require basic authorisation and wish to provide advice regarding setting up or winding up an SMSF.

Allows you to:

  • Recommend the establishment or winding up of an interest in SMSF.
  • Provide advice on contributions and/or pensions on a client’s existing superannuation.
  • Provide class of product advice (advice that doesn’t involve a specific product recommendation) on basic deposit products and superannuation.

  • Training
  • Compliance

Suitable for:

Accountants who wish to provide advice regarding setting up or winding up an SMSF as well as class of product advice.

Allows you to:

Provide a broad range of financial advice. This includes the scope of advice offered under Tier 1, plus class of product advice on:

  • Managed investments
  • Personal insurance
  • Securities

Support services included:

  • Training
  • Compliance

Suitable for:

Existing Capstone advisor who are entering succession planning but wish to provide comprehensive financial advice during the transition.

Allows you to:

Provide comprehensive financial product advice on:

  • Standard margin lending
