Our Approach
At your initial meeting, your Capstone Financial Adviser will spend time exploring your personal financial position. They will help you identify:
- Your financial and lifestyle goals
- Your attitude to investment risk
With your consent, your Capstone financial planner will then create a personal investment plan (this is referred to as a Statement of Advice). The Statement of Advice will take into account the level of investment risk you are comfortable with as well as your personal goals and investment time frame. In agreement with you, your adviser will then implement the plan.
When developing your financial plan, your Capstone adviser will typically consider a combination of these strategies:
- Superannuation: contribution and withdrawal advice, Reasonable Benefit Limit considerations as well as potential superannuation opportunities.
- Tax strategies: income tax and capital gains tax considerations, perhaps potential negative gearing opportunities.
- Asset allocation strategies: reviewing your current portfolio of investments against an agreed benchmark with a mix of assets - shares, property, bonds and cash.
- Risk management strategies: insurance and estate planning considerations to ensure your income and assets are properly protected now and in the future.
- Social Security strategies: maximise your income support entitlements (where appropriate)
After assessing your specific needs and circumstances, your Capstone Financial Adviser may include a range of financial solutions and suggest that you invest with a range of fund managers. Capstone financial advisers may only recommend products approved by the Capstone. Capstone undertakes initial and ongoing research for recommended products and services which meet stringent approval criteria. In addition, our advisers are able to draw upon the skills of our in-house research resources to assist in identifying investments that will help you achieve your goals.
Our advisers are not bound by product quotas but devote time and energy to providing solutions based on your individual circumstances.
